What I realize in New York...

by Speedy
1:   I spend most of my time crossing the street, for those not familiar with crossing in Ny, always wait for the cross signal and cross at the corner ...NOT IN BETWEEN THE Taxi's!

2:   Not only do I have a destination to get to that is only across the street, but DO NOT CROSS DIAGONALLY! Therefore, wait for the signal to cross horizontally, go and then cross at another signal vertically...now you can be on the side of the street that you would like to be on...

3:   Now that I am on the correct side of the street, make sure that I am going West or was it East?

4:   Got to the subway, now waiting and of course I have to take a connecting train...

5:   I realize that most of the day is spent crossing the street, using mass transit, and going to markets that specialize in what food you would like...Supermarkets don't exist like Stop and Shop, so what is considered a supermarket is very expensive like try $4.59 a pound for green peppers (not even organic)...now go to the vegetable market and get the same green peppers for $1.00 a pound...If you want meat, go to a meat market, if you want vegetables, go to a vegetable market, if you would like other stuff...try Jacks .99 cent store on 34th...

I am a New Yorker and I love it!
