...what is it with NJ people? was it the fact that we were from
NY with Ny license plate on the Lexus? Ok, so my friend wants to get to
the Micasa outlet store in NJ...takes the exit..sign says out let stores
..so there we are driving in back of trucks maintaining the speed not to
get rear-ended...and SUDDENLY a giant crater in the road (no avoiding it
at 45mh) couldn't go to the next lane because of close traffic...so the
obvious is to go into it! BANG! Oh the Lexus! and only to notice that 2 buildings
down on the same side "Tires Fixed Here!" Ha! Well, coming from Ny, I guess
that my friend has tires made of Steel because the craters in the road
(in Ct. we call them potholes) you need something like Flintstone tires...
Ok, so where are the outlet store? We stop to ask a man having Ice Cream
gives us directions...no such street though...asked 2 innocent walkers...
and they say "I don't know...ok, we are traveling around in a circle now..
stop at a light, ask the taxi driver...They would know...NOT!!!! "Sorry,
Don't know!" at point I feel like we are in the book by Jean-Paul Sartre
called No Exit! Oh Look! A UPS WOMAN! with lots of earrings! She should know!
Her answer" Sorry I just drive the truck and I don't know where it is..
Are we in the twilight zone? Is it because we have sunglasses on and are
in a Lexus? We ended up going up a side street near the UPS building...
and there are the stores...My friend got her dishes...
